Worship & Prayer

Sunday Morning Worship

At WCC, we believe that worship is essential for Christian nurture and growth. Sunday worship and Sunday school is held at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. Children meet downstairs in the hall for Sunday School.

During the summer months, worship is often held outdoors in Raymond Park (weather permitting).

Our worship includes traditional music and hymns, and favorite Gospel hymns, as well as biblical preaching that seeks to connect God's eternal Word with the needs and concerns of present day living.

Holy Communion, Our Lord's Supper, is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and is open to all who wish to partake.

Additionally, Holy Communion is celebrated on Maundy Thursday, and a highlight of the year is our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service.

Baptism is offered to people of all ages including infants. Except for special requests and/or circumstances, all baptisms are incorporated into a regular Sunday morning worship service.

Family Sunday

On the first Sunday of each month, now known as “Family Sunday,” we would like a family to serve as the host. They will first greet all parishioners as they enter the sanctuary for worship service. Following the service, the same family will host coffee hour, our tradition of fellowship and hospitality. If you are interested in hosting one Family Sunday, a signup sheet is posted on the upstairs bulletin board. Additional information regarding hosting coffee hour can be found under the "Fellowship" section of "Worship & Fellowship."
