At WCC, we believe that worship is essential for Christian nurturing and growth. Sunday worship and Sunday school are held at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. Children sit with their parents to begin the worship service, and then go downstairs to Sunday School during the first hymn.
During the summer months, worship is sometimes held outdoors in Raymond Park (weather permitting).
Our worship includes traditional music and hymns, and favorite Gospel hymns, as well as biblical preaching that seeks to connect God's eternal Word with the needs and concerns of present day living.
Holy Communion, Our Lord's Supper, is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and is open to all who wish to partake.
Additionally, Holy Communion is celebrated during a candlelight evening service on Maundy Thursday, and a highlight of the year is our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service.
Baptism is offered to people of all ages including infants. Except for special requests and/or circumstances, all baptisms are incorporated into a regular Sunday morning worship service.
